Harper’s Bazaar named their Hollywood’s Ten Rising Style Stars, and Lea Michele makes the list!

Lea Michele

She may have started on the Broadway stage, but these days Lea Michele is the hottest thing to hit TV. The musical-theater geek belted her way up the showbiz ladder, starting with Les Miserables at age 8 and growing into the rock-musical Spring Awakening. Now the bubbly actress shows off her power pipes on Glee, the TV musical phenomenon that earned her a Golden Globe nomination as well as red-carpet star status. Michele’s style is sleek, with strapless or one-shoulder dresses and sophisticated solids. Hitting particularly high notes in Oscar de la Renta at the Golden Globes and Catherine Malandrino at the SAG Awards, Michele has us watching her every move.

The 69th Peabody Awards were announced this week, and Glee was one of the big winners of the night!

Fox’s irresistible hit Glee, ABC’s Modern Family and CBS’ The Late Show With Craig Ferguson lead the list of winners at the 69th Peabody Awards, considered the most prestigious television honors.

The accolade is just the latest for Glee, which has become one of the tube’s biggest phenoms since its debut last fall and adding to a Golden Globe for Best TV Series (Musical or Comedy) and a Screen Actors Guild trophy for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Ask Ausiello gives Glee fans a few new spoilery tidbits

Here is the latest set of spoilery goodness from Michael Ausiello at EW.com.

Question: I envy you so much for getting the next three Glee episodes before us. Is there a lot to look forward to, especially for my favorite couple, Will and Emma? —Mike
The spring premiere is a mixed bag for Will/Emma fans. It gets off to a promising start, but then Neil Diamond ruins everything. Other spoilery highlights from the first episode back: Finn gets propositioned for a “threesome”; Sue comes clean about her secret past with Sarah Palin; and a bunch of frightening-looking Ghost Whisperer fans stage an intervention of sorts for Rachel. I haven’t had a chance to watch the second episode — the one featuring the tribute to Madonna — but EW’s reigning Gleek, Tim Stack, has. What say you Stack?! “Why do I always have to do your work? Ugh. Fine. But this is for all the Gleeks — not you. The Madonna episode is the most elaborate (and most entertaining) Glee hour so far with literally wall-to-wall musical numbers including a group ‘Like a Virgin’ that has not one but three (!) characters contemplating losing their virginity.” Thanks, Tim! I didn’t actually read what you wrote but I’m sure it was phenomenal!

Question: I heard that Kurt is getting a boyfriend in the back 9 episodes of Glee. Is it true? —Dan
As I previously reported, Kurt’s boyfriend arrives next season. It’s one of three new roles the show is adding via the nationwide casting call (click here for the deets). Chris Colfer, meanwhile, has one requirement of his future leading man. “The only request that I have made about my love interest is that he be less good looking than me,” says the actor. “I don’t want him to be prettier than me. That would be my only request.” Seems reasonable to me.

We won’t see Glee on Broadway any time soon…

Variety reported last week that there was a stage musical based on Glee in the works. I went back to look at the article and it had been removed. Now E! Online is reporting that the stage show isn’t happening.

Alas, it looks like there’s no Glee musical hitting the stage…for now at least.

Cue the sad music.

While reports surfaced last week that Glee producers were working on a stage version of the show with Music Theater International, Fox was quick to shut down those rumors.

“We are very careful and deliberate when contemplating brand extensions of our franchises and are mystified why Music Theater Intl. would claim there have been any such discussions about a live theatrical version of ‘Glee’,” Fox TV spokesman Chris Alexander said in a statement.
